Nestled a few steps away from the corner of College and Spadina sits Bazaar. One part vintage market and one part artisan showcase, this space has become one of my favourites to spend time in.
UPSTAIRS
The ground-level floor of the building is a mix of vintage home goods, clothing, and artisan showcases, set up like stalls in an art market.
Weird is king, and you'll find everything from smiling ashtrays to animal vases to rubber ducky earrings. The seller spaces are rented on a monthly basis, and while some sellers are certainly long-term guests, you'll also find something completely new on every visit.
DOWNSTAIRS
The basement level is where the real magic is. There are roughly a dozen different cubby-like sections each belonging to a different vintage curator in this grungy lower level.
Each section has its own distinct theme and style—from a beachy stall with blue walls and seashell-lined shelves, to a stall that feels like it could have been a childhood friend's basement with a CRT TV, old entertainment cabinet, and shelf full of PS1 games and VHSs.
